Please note: The Boyne Island Environmental Education Centre hires a bare site to community groups. As we are a Queensland Education facility, our teaching staff are only available to school groups during term. We do not run programs during the school holidays. Booking Process
Step 1 - How can we add value to your curriculum? Choose your program.
Refer to your current curriculum program (Australian Curriculum) to see if there is a particular BIEEC day visit program, short course or residential experience which supports your school curriculum needs.
Refer to our Curriculum plan 2024 (PDF, 497kb) to view your program options. All programs have been strategically and carefully developed to target specific learning outcomes for your students.
Step 2 - Make a Booking
All applications for bookings must be submitted via our online booking page.
Before completing your application, please ensure you have:
Considered the appropriate program type (residential experience, day visit, short course, or community group booking)
Identified three preferred date options
Thought about your transport arrangements
While we do our best to accommodate your preferred dates, please understand that demand for our programs is high and we support many schools throughout the year. Providing alternative dates helps us match you with the best possible opportunity.
Step 3 - Next Steps
1.
Acknowledgment of booking - an email will be sent to acknowledge your booking application once it has been received. If you do not receive a confirmation, please contact us at bookings@boyneislandeec.eq.edu.au
2.
Allocation of dates -
You will be notified early in Term 4 of your allocated booking dates, along with our 2024 Fee Schedule (PDF, 223kb) and Cancellation/Alteration Policy (PDF, 230kb).
You will also receive an online response form to accept, adjust, or decline your allocated booking.
If you do not receive a Round 1 booking offer, you will have the option to be added to our waitlist for future availability.
3.
Visit preparation - Your program coordinator will contact you during the first three weeks of the term prior to your booking to begin the program planning process. You will also have access to our new online portal, which contains all the information and documents you need to successfully plan your visit.
